LED electronic displays face numerous challenges when used outdoors. They are susceptible to extreme weather conditions such as high temperatures, cold snaps, strong winds, and rain. Without proper precautions, the safe operation of the display is impossible. Today, the LED screen manufacturer will discuss how to install LED electronic displays to prevent water leakage.
1. Add a backplate and apply sealant
Many people, for convenience, don't add a backplate or apply sealant when installing outdoor LED displays. Over time, water will inevitably seep into the electronic components, causing problems with the display. Electronic components are extremely vulnerable to water; water entering the circuitry will cause it to burn out. These easily remedied issues should not be ignored.
2. Create drainage holes
If the LED electronic display and backplate are tightly connected, drainage holes must be created at the bottom; these holes are specifically designed to allow water to drain. No matter how tightly the front and back of an LED display screen are bonded, water will inevitably accumulate inside over time. If there's no drainage hole at the bottom, water will build up. A drainage hole allows the water to drain away, providing excellent waterproofing and extending the lifespan of the LED display screen.
3. Suitable Wiring
When installing an LED electronic display screen, it's crucial to choose appropriate wiring. Generally, it's better to err on the side of larger rather than smaller. Calculate the total power of the LED display screen and select slightly larger wires. Avoid using wires that are just the right size or too small, as this can easily cause the wiring to burn out, affecting the safe operation of the LED display screen.
