The installation method of the LED display power cord is a relatively complex but critical process, which involves multiple steps and details to ensure that the display can operate stably and safely.

The following is a detailed introduction to the installation method:

I. Preparation

1. Determine the type of power supply: First, you need to determine the type of power supply used, usually a switching power supply with DC positive and negative connections. Make sure that the power of the power supply can meet the needs of the LED display.

2. Prepare tools and materials: Prepare the required tools, such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, multimeters, etc., as well as materials such as power cords, control cards, LED unit boards, etc.

II. Connect the power supply to the switching power supply

1. Connect the 220V power cord: Connect the 220V power cord to the AC or NL terminal of the switching power supply. Pay attention to confirm that the connection is correct and ensure that the insulation layer of the power cord is intact.

2. Check the power indicator: After plugging in the power supply, check whether the indicator light of the switching power supply is on to confirm that the power supply is normally supplied.

III. Measure voltage and adjust (optional)

1. Use a multimeter to measure voltage: Before connecting V+ and V-, you can use the DC range of the multimeter to measure the voltage between the two and ensure that the voltage is between 4.8V-5.1V. If the voltage is not within this range, you can adjust the voltage by adjusting the knob on the switching power supply (if any).

2. Adjust the voltage: In order to reduce screen heating and extend its life, the voltage can be adjusted to between 4.5V-4.8V in occasions where the brightness requirement is not high.

IV. Connect the power cord to the control card and LED unit board

1. Connect V+ and V-: Connect V+ to the red wire and V- to the black wire. The red wire is connected to the +5V of the control card and the VCC of the unit board, and the black wire is connected to the GND of the control card and the power supply.

2. Check the connection: Make sure that each power cord is firmly and reliably connected, without looseness or short circuit.

V. Connect the control card and LED unit board

1. Use the flat cable to connect: Use the prepared flat cable to connect the control card to the LED unit board. Note that the connection direction cannot be reversed, and make sure that the cable is not damaged or has poor contact.

2. Distinguish between input and output interfaces: There are usually two 16-pin interfaces on the unit board, one is the input interface and the other is the output interface. Connect the control card to the input interface and the output interface to the input interface of the next unit board.

VI. Connect RS232 data cable (optional)

1. Connect the data cable: If remote control or data transmission is required, you can connect the RS232 data cable. Connect one end of the data cable to the DB9 serial port of the computer and the other end to the control card.

2. Set the wiring: Connect the 5th pin (brown) of DB9 to the GND of the control card, and connect the 3rd pin (brown and white) of DB9 to the RS232-RX of the control card.

VII. Check and test

1. Check the connection: Check again whether all the connections are correct, especially the connection of the power cord and the data cable.

2. Test the display: After connecting the 220V power supply, open the downloaded software for testing. Observe whether the display lights up normally and displays content. If an abnormal situation occurs, please check the connection and perform maintenance according to the error prompt.

VIII. Precautions

1. Safety first: Pay attention to electrical safety during the entire installation process, and make sure that the power is turned off and the plug is unplugged before wiring.

2. Check carefully: When connecting the power cord and data cable, carefully check the interface and color identification to ensure that the connection is correct.

3. Professional guidance: If you are not sure about a step or operation method, it is recommended to consult a professional or refer to relevant manuals and guidance materials.

Through the detailed introduction of the above steps and precautions, I believe you can successfully complete the installation of the LED display power cord.
