What is IMD LED display screen?

IMD in the LED display screen refers to the matrix integrated packaging solution, which is an intermediate product of the transition from SMD discrete devices to COB. The typical form of IMD is 2*2, that is, 4-in-1 lamp beads, integrating and packaging 12 RGB three-color LED chips. It can cover P0.4\~P0.9 in point spacing, has strong anti-collision ability and strong reliability.

Compared with SMD and COB, IMD has some unique advantages. SMD can cover the application market above P0.9, but it is prone to bumps in small-screen applications and its reliability is slightly worse. COB eliminates the SMT patching process, can cover P0.4\~P2, and emits light from a surface light source. The light is soft, but it is prone to modular chromatic aberration. IMD combines the characteristics of SMD and COB, which not only improves the anti-collision capability, but also solves the color difference problem to a certain extent.

IMD (Integrated Matrix Devices) matrix integrated packaging solution (also known as "all-in-one") is currently typically in the form of 2*2, that is, 4-in-1 lamp beads, integrating and packaging 12 RGB three-color LED chips. 

IMD is an intermediate product of the transition from SMD discrete devices to COB: the spacing can be reduced to P0.7 while improving anti-collision capabilities, but the 4 lamps have chromatic aberrations that need to be corrected because they cannot separate light and color.
