LCD video walls have seams, ranging from 3.5mm, 1.8mm, to 0.88mm. While there's no visible graininess when viewed up close, the seams are an unavoidable issue. Some on the market achieve seamless splicing using light guides, but these age over time and look worse than those with visible seams, and have largely been phased out in recent years. LED displays, on the other hand, are seamlessly spliced, but may show graininess when viewed up close. They are best viewed from distances beyond the optimal viewing distance for both observation and photography.
