How do I find customers when selling used LED displays?

There are many ways to find stable sales channels and target customers for any product, but taking these methods in isolation may not be very meaningful because with the development of internet marketing, many sales methods need to be supplemented and complemented by other methods.

For example, when talking about second-hand product trading, we all think of well-known second-hand trading platforms, such as Xianyu, a platform under Taobao in China.

However, if we simply list the product without other operational measures, we won't see much sales results, because second-hand LED displays, especially large-sized ones, rarely attract individual buyers.

Furthermore, based on the product in question, namely a second-hand LED display, we can consider its usage scenarios.

We can easily think of at least two usage scenarios:

Repair service providers can use it as repair materials, possibly disassembled or as a whole;

Resource recycling, recovering metal materials such as copper, aluminum, and titanium.

With the customers identified, we can then begin to create a detailed customer profile.

For example, confirm the following questions:

What type of customers are these, B2B or B2C?

Where do these customers prefer to post information? Do they provide contact information? Do they have an official website?

Once you find their contact information, add as many as possible on WeChat, and use simple WeChat marketing techniques to easily close deals. Of course, this assumes your product meets their requirements and you are trustworthy.

I did research the LED display market before, but I know very little about the secondhand business. I can only share what I know with you.

You probably know more than I do, so if you have a clear sales strategy and combine it with some marketing techniques, it shouldn't be too difficult.

LED display screens saw a significant price drop starting around 2013-2015. Previously, they mostly used Nichia LEDs from Japan and Cree LEDs from the US, which were quite expensive. With the stabilization of domestically produced LED chips,

domestic alternatives began to become more widespread, leading to a price reduction. In 2011, a P16 outdoor screen using Nichia LEDs cost 16,000 RMB per square meter; now that production has ceased, the price is only around 2,000 RMB per square meter based on domestic alternatives. This price decrease led to increased market demand.

Increased market demand resulted in more pronounced differences in market demand, with greater demand for lower-priced screens. Currently, there are several types of used screens:

1. Newer products from projects canceled for special reasons, with shorter usage periods.

2. Older, obsolete products.

3. Factory overstock sold cheaply. These products need refurbishment or selective processing. For these products, several approaches can be considered:

1. Shopfront displays. For these stores, high-quality screens are expensive, and it's not worthwhile for the shop owner to spend too much money. 1. The display effect of a used screen in this location is not bad!

2. Construction sites! These screens don't have high requirements; they may only display text and animations. A high-quality screen isn't necessary!

3. Refurbished and rented out! Rental screens are never new after one use! Used screens are the same! These screens can be used for small events; a few events will easily cover the cost!

4. Fixed installation in hotels and restaurants, charging usage fees! Negotiate profit sharing with hotels and restaurants. Charge rental fees for use at weddings, birthday banquets, festival celebrations, conferences, etc.!

5. Ordinary bars and KTVs, not high-end bars! High-end bars don't care about the cost! Bars are relatively dark, and product requirements are not high! Good refurbished screens can be used!

6. There are some other applications that can't be discussed, such as places where it's just for show, ensuring there's a screen! With these application scenarios and locations, finding customers becomes more targeted!

1) Join more LED display industry groups. Customers aren't entirely found by yourself; industry friends are the biggest source of customer information!

2) Promote through information platforms, such as Douyin and Kuaishou!

3) For ordinary stores, street canvassing can be used! Leverage price and service advantages!

4) For rental businesses, approach the rental market to discuss partnerships! The same method applies to hotels and restaurants! Or, partner with investors! You provide the screen and technology, or sell the screen to investors! You provide the services!
